Planning my year

Planning my year of fun, was great fun in itself, I chatted to friends and OH, who would do anything to avoid a party, but eventually decided to do what I most wanted to do. I did start the year with a night at Claridges and took female friends to Mathew Bourne's Sleeping Beauty at Saddlers Wells. The theme of the year has been literary festivals. However, I do love the theatre and I normally go at least once a month, so have managed to keep that going. Have also included a bit more travel than usual. I did mean to blog as I went along but have been too busy and am off to New York on Monday. Will write up each event in retrospect when I have time, so far have been to,
Jewish Book Week, at King's Place, fabulous event, evening of Leonard Cohen, Howard Jacobson and 2 thriller writers
Oxford Literary Fest, Alexander McCall Smith, funniest event ever, Henrietta Garnett and Edna O'Brien, once in a lifetime event and a whiskey tasting- magic
Yet to attend, Hay on Wye and female fiction prize short list readings at Festival Hall.
Going to New York, Copenhagen and Nice.
I did set a budget for the year and have managed to meet up with most friends for a meal as we have moved around the country.
